We are pleased to share with you our DeKalb County Housing Needs study. The intent of the study was to provide decision makers, stakeholders, and community members an understanding of key housing issues. The study provides an assessment of unmet housing demand now and in the next five, ten, and fifteen years. This study offers our community a basis for formulating housing priorities, policies, and intervention strategies.

The Section 8 (HCV) waiting list is ONLY open to households where the head, spouse or sole member is elderly (62 or older) or is disabled and has a minimum of 2 of our local preference points. The Low Income Public Housing waiting list is open to everyone that has a minimum of 2 of our local preference points. You can apply online at our website. Paper applications are available as a reasonable accommodation for the disabled.
